Bench Hand Assembler

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working within a similar environment with both hand and power tools. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that components are assembled accurately and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

Assemble products according to specifications.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in assembly work or a similar role is preferred.
Bench hand experience with the ability to understand drawings is essential.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely.
Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Monday to Friday 6.30am/4.30pm

£12.21 starting salary with a view to going permanent after 6 weeks.
